"and handkerchief head"

The Chitling Test is quite amusing, though unbeknownst to most I am not black and thus don't know most of these off the top of my head = failure.

Jim Woodring.

I've seen this painting before and decided to look up some more about it. I assumed that it was just the flight of fancy of some artist, but was wondering if it could perhaps be based on some biblical or apocryphal story never the less. I'm pleased to see that he hails from the edge of California tamelands.

Actual landscapes this time...

Just got an email from the NRDC of 11 "must see wilderness locations" so yeah, I haven't seen many of these so I'm recording it.

Of Artemis and the 13th of August...

And the regecidal bronze age (*blank*lithic?) cult of the she-bear.

Oh man, it's Friday the 13th this August 13th... Robert Anton Wilson you dog (star?)... Hah!

The Red Queen and Base 42...

Oh man this is funny... Goddamn you Charles Dodgson! I need to read the Alices...
And as the Red Queen says to Alice "“It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place.”

(and the mother fucking mouth inside the mother fucking eye)

Trolling as art...

So today my friend Ben shared a link of one Armond White's review of Toy Story 3. Reading it just tickles me to death. At first, I did just think that White was being an acute troll, and doing a very, very good job of it based on the reader reactions. However, as I read into him a little more I see that he is someone who really appreciates, sees, and understands the art (alchemic poeticism) and depth that cinema (read: any art) can create and the power that flows from that. Steven Boone's review of Armond, White Power (get it? Armonds black =P ), really summarizes much of the depth of this grandmaster of trolling. He's trying to show you something meaningful by shitting on what you consider important in your own laziness or ignorance... Just wow.

Free interwebs...

So a big issue a lot of the time, especially while traveling or bumming around, is finding internet access. Well at least if you have your own traveling internet machine (which safe to say is about all that my current laptop is capable of) free wireless networks are available at your fingertips... if only you could find a connection to check their website...
